Default Wife or Car

Ok it's a silly sounding title. (Husband or Car equally works)

But I've been in this situation to make a choice.

I chose the car and never looked back!! ha.

In life we all love our toys on our hard earned.

What do you have which is a non-negotiable? As in it stays with you regardless?!

Cars, bikes, whatever, something special to you?

ps; fun thread, in good spirit

If you're single ask yourself which one will work best as a pickup line in a pub.

"Can I give you a lift home? I've got my Benz/Jag/Porsche in the carpark"

or

"Can I give you a lift home in my Ford?"

My wife told me to buy our Fairlane, then she said I could buy a motorbike, then she said we needed a bigger boat (4.4m fibreglass runabout) so I bought a yot to do up. I call it a yot, because I'm not pretentious enough to think it's as big as yours

Launched it last weekend after painting the hull, replacing lots of things inside, so it got wet for the first time in maybe a decade, and the cable holding up the keel snapped, pinning her to the boat ramp. Maybe I can try again in a week, and learn how to sail the bugger! I could see the missus seething a little while we were at the ramp, but then she had a good laugh about it.

Lovely boat and i'm sure you'll get the hang of it and get her sorted out, and once you do don't be surprised if the bug bites. Years ago we had a Sunbird 25 on a trailer, a great little learner, we used to take it up to the Whitsundays and spend a couple of weeks just bumming around the islands, cheap holidays in the sun....

Dinghy sailing is a fun way to learn before venturing into bigger boat(t)s.

What's if it's a naturally aspirated Porsche 924?

You might get the little finger waved at you....

Apparently this is a widespread opinion among women, and most of them won't differentiate between your 924 and a 911 chab....

I'm pretty slow and dumb. It's only recently I became aware how common this is among the ladies...I wonder what the falcon says about me

Haha I would choose my wife! I got a good one, and my car isn't that flash. Can't think of anything I have that is non negotiable (except the kids/wife), all else is just material.
In saying that, when I eventually get an XC Cobra 351 4-speed all bets are off...

If a woman makes you choose, choose the other. The one that doesn't make you choose is the one to keep.

I had a different problem. My ex kept encouraging me to buy toys. One of those I bought in 08 for 12 is now worth about 35. Always thought she was the brains of the operation...

If she's making you choose, chances are, it's not the object itself that's the problem, it's your behaviour regarding it.

No, they prefer to ruin it over things they imagined or just straight out made up.
