A bit of Friday fun but getting more serious....
As some may know, my wife has an Escape Vignale on order with no build date yet allocated. She has been driving our daughter's SA Focus Titanium and fallen in love with the heated seats, using Sync 3 vs Sync 2, ease of parking, "zippyness" compared to her normal car our SZ Territory diesel and the Focus is now as much loved as me One reason on picking the Escape was my selfish need (purely for medicinal reasons) to have something more powerful whenever I get to drive it and the Escape is easily the best fit in the med SUV market. Sooooo....there's a couple of very low kay SA Focus ST auto's about with no wait....I won't tell her it's got 206kW but can I get away with it...?..and we're keeping the Terry anyway. |

Buy it and give it to her.
Sometimes it is better to seek forgiveness than permission. |

Park it in the drive with a big ribbon on it.
You bought for her because you love her so much and she deserves it. Job done.

There's your easy sell points again typed by you :
and fallen in love with the heated seats, using Sync 3 vs Sync 2, ease of parking, "zippyness" compared to her normal car our SZ Territory diesel and the Focus is now as much loved as me Main push now is you can get one NOW off the showroom floor and probably at a very good deal. Win Win.

If you don't "Need" an SUV, get the Focus ST, not even a hard choice.
Some would say, its easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission...

Can you guys go test drive it? Let her drive it and fall in love with it, then mention that they're available to buy now.
The whole 'better to ask forgiveness than permission' stuff is a danger zone when applied to relationships. |

Well I'm in the ask for forgiveness column but may I suggest a more practical approach.
How bad do you need the room in an SUV? Do you lose anything really by getting an ST over the Escape? |

Dunno about the wife but if you're going to buy a Focus ST for someone I'm happy to receive said Focus ST if the wife kicks up a stink

I got my wife a 2016 Focus ST with the Tech Pack and she couldn't be happier. I'd back the forgiveness not permission route too!
