3lt Twin Turbo Petrol, 292kW 583Nm, wow I wasn't sure it would happen... love it.

What's the predicted price of one of these....

The styling is much more successful on the Raptor than any of the other models.

Yes, but IMO the new front makes the wider track less obvious than it did on the outgoing model. And that's about all I can fault. Front/rear difflocks and a decent engine will see a lot of interest from the 4wd crowd.

So glad Ford went all in with a engine to match the image.

Now, I hope all those who winged and bitched about the Bi-Turbo 2.0 go out and buy one.

It’s cause the rest of the range has a wider track, so the raptor only has half the extra width it used to.

0-100 is over 4 seconds quicker than the older version. So that should put it in the mid 6’s. Impressive. It feels it too.

The exhaust is stupid loud as well. But it’s just noise, no real note to it. Reminds me of a ve commodore v6 with a big exhaust. It’s the only thing that could be better. It’s switchable anyway.

You can hear the exhaust noise from a long way away. If only the note was better.

Can’t wait to see what aftermarket engine tuners do with it.

They might complain that it does not have a 3.5T towing capacity

Looks like a total beast, good candidate for the tradey truck.

Here's another tough dual cab.

I've heard the rear overhang on the Triton can be a bit cumbersome offroad, but I reckon the extra tray is actually perfect for mounting a rocket launcher you pilfered from a shot-down attack helicopter, reducing the blast on the cabin:

Not only that, it looks like performance buyers are putting their money where their mouth is.
Fuel prices are high but if anyone with a Raptor order gets cold feet, there’s always the V6 diesel Sport.

Awesome job Ford, the other brands must be going WTF just happened, different price bracket I know but still. Also I see the start button is where you would normally put the key. I like that.

Flamin big step up over the previous models, about time ford pulled its finger out and stopped stuffing around with that little diesel.

Can’t believe Ford put a powerful engine in it when people already bought the last Raptor. Isn’t that what the usual apologists should be saying?

About time this performance model had a performance engine. I want one now. I had zero desire to buy the last model, but I’m going to be looking into this new one since I’m due for a new 4x4 this year. Hopefully they don’t go full stupid with the price like Jeep did with the new Grand Cherokee pricing.
Also hopefully it’s not a few year wait like all the other popular new releases these days.

Give it a rest mate, people bought the 2.0 diesel in spite of everyone complaining that it didn’t have a HP engine and that it would never sell, they were proven wrong.
The Raptor now has that engine that fits the image, so there shouldn’t be any impediments…unless people now p1ss and moan that there’s no V8…already happening btw.

Later this year after after they get over the initial launch.

You might have to swallow hard when you see the price…

the original business case for a Ranger Raptor variant was sold to Dearborn on only 5000 units. They did rather undercall that didn't they?

A real toe in the water with asking a big price for a vehicle untried in our market,
those were the days when people thought a +$60k Wildtrak was insane money…
They needn’t have worried, Ford buyers stumped up and kept paying more and more
