I’ve got to shortly dig into the 4HP18 from one of my Euros.
It’s a non-electronic box, purely hydromechanical. The band broke, tore its apply side lug off the spot welds. So I need to remove the box and split to get in there. Everything else was shifting fine, it’s got about 180.000km and never towed. To diagnose I briefly removed the valve body for access, and it looked perfect Assuming I don’t find other issues, do I just need a basic rubber seals and paper gaskets kit? Or is there dead certainty that either any ZF or this model in particular, will require a certain operation? Thanks for any pointers. |
