can this clear my curiosity please
seats with 6 way go which way? seats with 8 way do which way? Are there any late model Fords that have both front seats with 6/8 way movement?

A good example of 6/8 would be Jimi Hendrix’s Manic Depression.
I’m pretty sure one of the bonus “ways” of the octamodal seats, is recline.

so presumably 6 way is seat forward -backwards, cushion front up-down, cushion rear up-down. that's fine happy with that.
But matching passenger seat from what vehicle?

that is correct Tonz. you can have the 6way with or without memory, but as far as i know .. 8way/10way only available with memory. 8way has tilt/recline of seat upper with 10way having lumbar adjustment as well. 6way passenger seat can be high class Fairymont Ghia's/Fairylanes and/or LTD's. i think i mentioned it to another member from here that Robbo's [upay] has been selling 6way passenger seats .... i know cause i've bought a few and if all you want is a 6way 'seat' ...... you only need the correct base .. not the rest of the seat .. as you can use your own seats on the base. you will need to add an earth as well as a power wire for it to work. you will also need to find the correct 6way passenger seat side trim. rub it in fordomatic Quote:

I put an 8 way in my ute with 3 position memory as per pic. Came out of a BF Fairlane with leather covers which I removed an added blue XR covers and cushions. The memory function is definitely what you need for long trips as you can change the position as many times as you wish etc but then a simple push of a button returns it to your normal position. PS: Came in handy as I returned from another across Oz trip only yesterday 7885klms and did the loop down your way on Saturday just for a relook. That range on the right basically all the way is impressive. I did it in the 4Runner in 2001 but couldn't remember any details. Now need to give the ol girl a good clean inside |
