Well somebody bidded on it. I suppose for $2500 it could be a fairly nice Fairmont. It's not a sprint though, that's blatantly obvious to anybody with their eyes open.

lets see

Fairmont spec interior
MOMO steering wheel is missing
5000 rpm redline
Sprint badging missing from guards
ABS sticker as per EB's, not ED's, although it puzzles me considering its an EB/ED GLi/XR garnish, afaik EB Fairmonts had the higher spec bezel
Chrome bumper/door moulds
Non sprint paint colour
165kw engine

The seller probably doesn't know anything about Sprints. Probably bought it as is with the XR8 Sprint badge already on it and thought that's actually what it is. They haven't included any info in the ad to indicate they understand what a Sprint really is.

My guess would be it's a Fairmont that has had some body work done, maybe post accident, and the ED XR lights put on.

That's why I hate prople who change the badges on their car just cause they think it makes it look better.

They may or may not be dodgy. They might just be grossly misinformed.

Best to avoid this one anyway.
