Execjim sent me that a few weeks back, that mining machine is the biggest piece of machinery i've ever seen, looks more like a buidling than a machine
I wondered what the dozer had to do with it till i saw the pic with the little wee dozer (not that wee in real life) was caught in one of the buckets of this monster Some of the pics..... Last edited by rodderz; 07-07-2005 at 05:54 PM. |

That is just incredible!!! Imagine the sound of that blade at the rear when she's spinning!!! You'd be scared if the driver lost control of the thing!!!

rodderz, that one did the rounds a while ago. i wouldn't have liked to be on it.
this is what i drive. the smaller one is a Komatsu 375 which is a bit bigger than a Cat D9. the bigger one is a Cat D11n with a 63 cubic metre blade set up for stockpiles. this is old, now we have D11R series3, which are the same size, just more power and more refined. |

depends what machine your talking about. if it's the one in rodderz post, we know them as bucket wheel reclaimers. they can move serious amounts of material. for example ones used at the port up here operates around 8000-10,000 tonnes per hour when loading ships. |
