Couple of things

1) Closer to main road, if not close off a street.
2) No dirt Roads
3) No Dealership input as their name should never be mentioned again!
4) Get the traders invovled., ie supersheap, autobarn, etc....
5) free Aeroguard!

but as I said before, this one was bloody great!

I totaly agree, fantastic day, well done Austin.

Just a comment through, Bev and I went up to the Botanical Cardens Sunday and we couldn't get near the bloody place.
Apparently it was the same on Saturday, we found out that the local Model Engineers Society had their annual birthday weekend with people coming from all over Aus. (running steam trains etc.)

It may help if we avoid this weekend next year.

I also agree that more of us should chip in to help Austin with the organising

Regards
Gary

Local dealership pulled support for the show in the last week, not giving Austin a chance to make alternative arrangements (after saying for a number of months they would support the show).

I wouldn't be able to make it every year to Wagga, interferes with my bi-annual holiday in Perth, but at this stage we will be back in '07!!

Congratulations again to Austin and the organizers on a great event.

All i can suggest is...
water the track if at the equex to keep the dust down.
hand out small bottles of sunscreen, u know those sample size ones.
A few more mini marqees for some shade.
Food and cold drink supplies.
AEROGARD @ the gate..LOL ( i'm with minge on that one) Flys..GRRR
A big BBQ beer n bourbon feast the night before
And finally, never to mention THAT ford dealers name again!!!

CHEERS!!

I think it needed to be better sign posted and needed more promotional sponsors, but you live and learn, it was still a great day- learning from the mistakes is the fun part!

07 sounds greeat agree with what has been said about roads/sponsors ect. ALSO i would think if we get some local traders involved there will probably be more recognition and more attendance on the day.

as for flys, build a bridge there everywhere and aeroguard only attrects them, you have to use "F**K OFF" (yes there is a product call that)

I think you should keep it as an every two years event Aust.
And if all goes well we can combine a show or even alternate the years between Wagga and Albury/Wodonga.

I think it would be great for Wagga to have it annually, but then people may get a lil bored with it. (or not, up the fords!!) but i would like it annually for the fact its in Wagga and we need more car events in our lovely lil town.

Now that the old Albury AFD appears to be dead I reckon this sounds like a great idea Kerry

i will be happy to have my hand up
come on wagga wagga show your support
many hands make light work and more ideas

congrats again
just another day to thank the blue oval

just my five cents

a sugestion man

go to all the auto shops in wagga and ask if they will leave a flyer in the store or at least inform the shop ppl cause as i went around wagga, alot of ppl were baffled when i said i was up for the AFD even the ppl at repco!!!!

We also meet this guy that had a xr8 au in great condition and didnt even know about it and was disapointed cause he would have show his car.

neways thats all the complaints i had, besides that i say that was a great day, good organisation and wagga wagga was also a great place full of life.

Do it every year like Kerry suggested but alternate it. Form an organising committee for both area's. For example, when its in Wagga, the Albury guys handle things like sponsorship, traders, promotional work and the wagga guys do things like Venue's and meeting with local sponsors. Change the name to the Riverena All Ford Day maybe.

I think make the dates a month or 2 early. Take advantage of 18 degree days. This year was hot. Unless you get a venue with heaps of shade, then November is cool.

Ill loved it, and it was a good thing for the people of wagga, many people from wagga that i have spoke to enjoyed it. It was also great to see all the great cars there. I would love to see this event yearly.

I think there should be an annual show but mix it up. Have diiferent people organise it and hold it in different towns. Well done Aust and Teesha and everyone in the background that made this show happen. It was a great experience and a lot of fun.

My sugestions are move the show forward a month or 2 because of the heat, Aerogard should be your responsibility not some one elses. Thos flies were annoying and seemed to be attracted more to the silver colour then anthing else.

Definently a BBQ, BEER N BOURBAN night sometime over the weekend and not at LA Poor Form.

A friend of mine's grandma is making a huge Tipi for me and the car to go with the Chief theme and for shade.

No dirt roads and if there is please water them.
Thats my 2c worth.

Once again Thank YOU, everyone who showed up and made it a HUGE success. Thank You very much Austin and his team od dedicated people.

Anyone who took a ford flag home which was placed on your car, I'm a couple short, so can you please return them to me. These were the property of the ACT club and were not free gifts, but a loan on request. My **** is on the line, so if anyone took a flag home, can you please send to me, sticks as well. PM me and I will send you my address. I don't really care who got a flag, I would like to return them to the club. I need them by the end of the week.

Or if anyone would like to donate some back to the ACT club, that would be greatley appreciated or at least point me in the direction so I can pay to have them replaced.

Thanks

id like to see the show run every year, just because wagga gets a little dull on the car side of things and the more the better!
id also keep it at a similar time slot - id rather have to put up with flies and sunburn than rain and mud. (like it is today)

hopefully next time ill have a car worthy of entering!!

i also agree that it should be held every year, imagine what next year would be like...
How many cars were displayed this year?
I reckon that next year that number would be up a fair bit!

I also think that there should be a ford forums.com.au meet and greet/BEAT, maybe in a park/pub for a picnic/BBQ/****-up the eveing before the show.

I am there next year!!!!

Maybe we should make a wishlist of things that could happen next year a bit closer to the actual date.

just my 2c worth!

cheers

Any chance of trying for Bolton Park next year?

For the City folk, thats the park on the main Hwy next to the tennis courts with a dead Aeroplane sitting in it. )

That would be great, really central to everything. The only drama would be getting permission!

You've done good. I may be able to make it down next year, depending on what's happened in day to day life, and what condition the ute is in.
