Default your cars 15 mins of fame

what's your cars best moment of fame.
my old EA 3.9 CFI, bought for $1200, had it's moment when my brother hit a gutter in his 20,000 dollar WRX and i had to tow it home on a car trailer, now how sweet is that.

Back in the 70s i had a blue 1955 FJ ute drag car called appropiatly OLD 55. Got a phone call from FX/FJ car club asking to feature it on a Moomba float in the city. Watcing it on telly and it had the rock group OLD55 in the back belting out music for their fans. Thats my 15 minutes off glory.

Oh yeah forgot this one, a couple had seen my car and asked me if they could use it for their wedding. There first date apparently was in a car exactly the same as mine. Got $150 from it and they only borrowed it for 2 hours. I never lend my car to anybody but a good trustworthy friend drove it for me and keeped his eye on it. He is one of two other people that have ever driven it.

Vinyl seats so it would be ok (not really). They didn't have the car long enough to get up to any funny business.

Mine was featured for like 10 seconds standing still, then accelerating at full throttle at the end of the news on channel 9 in 2001(she was only 3 months old too). I did a job chauffering trash show host Jerry Springer around, and he got a little mobbed at the venue on george st. Some ******** jumped on the bonnet too (which 9 immediately offered to pay for).

Funny thing was, the only cameras there were from channel 9, who of which had him out here working on some pilots for shows like "it's a love thing" with that treasure island wench georgina.

I was driving around the other day and I'm pretty sure someone took a photo of my car!
I'm just waiting for the prints to come through the mail now.

Yer, ive had that happen. People see/hear you driving up the road and you watch them as they snap you driving past. Really surprising really. Always a proud moment though. And when i first took the Xy to a few friends houses their parents come outside taking photos of it. Car has also been on the local news for a car show and in our local carclubs newsletter, nothing special really.
