There are quite a few of us that know people who work for both Ford or FPV
I have been guilty of spilling the beans on certain items in the past (old forums) but really it isnt a great move to go into great detail as the ones that tell, are liable to lose their job as they are all under confidantially agreements not to discuss future plans at Ford. These days not much is said by anyone as some have been in trouble in the past, so info is left at work... Plus that much testing goes on that things can change as final signoff occurs Last edited by rodderz; 10-02-2006 at 09:38 PM. |

it really fires me up that people feel they have to talk rubbish and think that we are that brainless that we will believe their babble and lies

Ford do have people who search the forums looking for leaks. Let this be a warning to you all as they can track you down.

But we love rumours, its what makes us function !!!
but yeah, i agree, if you spill the beans with an actual fact, ford find out how and who told and they get a ribbing, happened to me , raving how good the BF XR8 i drove before they were out, they tracked it down and people got pee'd on :

i could imagine they wouldnt be happy and what will happen is the big boys will stop telling people this stuff coz theyll be afraid it will be spilled..... iknow it would be hard to keep secrets about our great product (ford) but if you know these people or work for the company its a priviledge that u should protect.....

Guys keep in mind also that Ford like many companies also have what can be best described as a 'controlled leak', I'm sure that most things are simply more mis-information than fact though. :
But alot of it still makes for good threads and great convo over a beer lol |

I know several people at Ford and FPV... The fact that I used to work at Ford helps in that regard... But even still, if you are from Melbourne's Northern most suburbs you are likely to know someone who works at a) Ford, b) Visyboard or c) South Pacific Tyres

I once worked at HSV a few years back (dont ask :P) and knew some precious information months before the media found out. (350kw HRT Maloo?, dud C4B motors, HSV coupe...) I told one friend, and by a few days, quite a few people had found out. I had to do a quick clean up and I was so scared... I know why they do not tell anyone what they know. They get journo's ringing up all the time pretending to be other engineers from other Ford plants etc, and getting information or specs on up-coming models, and a lot of info is leaked this way I would think...
