Default Stupid Stickers and Badges

I hope this isn't a repost, but driving to work this morning, I noticed something that made me ask...... how many cars out there have stupid stickers or badges.

I spotted a clean VS Commodore ute (I know, Holden). Was in the tiger gold colour and neat looking, but the tailgate caught my eye.One side had HOLDEN pressed into the sheetmetal, while the otherside said 308. I'm pretty sure holden got rid of the 308 in the VL's and moved to 304ci. for racing purposes. Maybe someone forgot to tell this guy.

I know there are people that will classify tickford badges and gt stripes on not tickford and gt's as stupid, but what else have people seen out there that makes you cringe or cry.

I beleive it has been done. There was a VP commode getting around up here with massive chromies, looked tidy, but in my opinion it still looked like crap. A chick owned it but her BF often drove it. It had a massive sticker on the back window that said "My other toy has a d#*k!" I pulled up next to it when the bf was driving one day, leant over and said "Your girlfriend have a d#*k???" The sticker came off a week later. lmao

Yeah those Holden or Ford stickers across the front window of a Holden or a Ford are stupid, its like they are trying to remind people what they are driving or something.

HSV and Tickford/FPV badges on non HSV or Tickford/FPV cars are just as stupid.

Funniest sticker I ever saw was on the back window of a Suzuki Mighty Boy ute.
It read "No Fat Chicks, they just won't fit."

You would be surprised how many commodore owners call them a 308. In the last couple of months I have seen two commodores with 308 in the number plates, one was a done up bush pig country bumpkin VS Ute with PIG 308 or something similiar. The other was a guy who used to go to my School who had a VP Commy with plates VP308.

A lot more N/A XR's are getting around perth with FPV badges on them ??? WTF They get embarressed when you pull up next to them in the FPV. Atually most just have stickers that say FPV.

Sorry to crush your thread, but i think you will find those old 5.0 holden engines are in fact 308's. The 304 is a bit of a myth that sooo many ppl believe, Yes holden did produce a few models with a 304 V8 but i emphasise "a few" as not many were made. (someone with more GMH knowledge can confirm)

That "new" 5.0 EFI that was in the VN,VR,VS,VT1 is under the covers just like the old 308 but with EFI heads and all the other gear that goes with fuel injection.

I would have to agree however, there are a lot of P-Nuts out there with the Performance Comany stickers on their STOCK or POS cars. However having done this myself on previous rides, and reading most threads on here I say that "Whatever Floats Your Boat" but as for building MOCK GT's and MOCK HSV's thats a touch wrong.......... Most owners of these vehicles have worked to afford these types of cars, and dont appreciate FAKES stealing their Limelight.

Agree with this, I dont even care if they have the fpv stickers, I know that they know that they dont have one and realy want one. :

I just dont think they know that they are embarrasing themselves when people like us spot them (people like us who love a nice ride, who evers it is).

I saw a 2 door Toyota Echo with a cannon the other day.
Would have taken a pic on my phone, except for the police car next to me.

giving a car a false badge such as tickford or fpv is stupid yes, but putting an fpv sticker on the window is different.

i have an fpv sticker on my car and i just see it as a representation of ford muscle, same with fpr stickers.

i would never put tickford badges on my car unless it was tickford powered

Yeah I agree

I dont care if people make XU1,GT,Walky,Clubbie,SS Group A etc mockups aslong as they go to the effort of actually making it exactly like the original.

Like mock up XY GTs, some of them are hard to pick out as a fake IMO.

But at the end of the day no matter how much they replicate the originals they are still clones and the feeling isnt the same as owning a original.

The people I am refering to have a small sticker of FPV logo under the XR badge. A sticker badge so to speak.

I have 7 Stickers on my car.

1 on each side of the Bulge which says "AWC Enhanced"
AWC Enhanced Sticker on the rear window
Pedders Racing Sticker over my rear window brake light
1 on each rear quarter that says AU Falcon.com
1 Rego Sticker.

: Stickers on my Rice Rocket

Pedders put that sticker on my car. I never asked for it. But I like it, think its pretty cool

I was thinking about putting that on the back of my ute.
If I can find a place that sells them ... I might ... LOL

Also my mate had an 84 4-Runner (4RUNNA plates) ... raised with the works ... regularly went off-road. He had a sticker on the side of his 4WD ... above the rear wheel (on each side) ... on the chassis rail under the wheelarch.

It read:
"Curiosity didn't kill your cat ... I did"
