Default Naughty Warne admits he may need help

Naughty Warne admits he may need help
Tuesday Mar 7 19:21 AEDT
Shane Warne believes he may need help to deal with his serial indiscretions.

In an interview with Jana Wendt, published in this week's Bulletin magazine, Warne said he did not know why he continued to behave inappropriately when it meant the break-up of his family.

"There have been times when I have (asked myself) 'Why didn't I think ... beforehand?'.

The Bulletin: Exclusive report
"I can't answer that question because I don't know. Now you can say that's stupid ... dumb or whatever, but I can't. I'm telling you, that's how it is."

Warne continued: "A lot of people don't understand. I don't understand ... Maybe I need to see people about it. Maybe. I don't know."

Warne said his high profile ("celebrity - I hate that word") presented him with sexual opportunities when he went out.

"There are opportunities there ... whether they just want to make money out of you, whether there's a set-up, meal ticket, whatever they want.

"And when you're lonely and you're away for six months, things sometimes just happen and then you regret it afterwards and you think `You idiot'."

Warne said he was not trying to make excuses, "but it's very hard being on the road. It's very lonely."

Warne said the public perception that he had been with hundreds of women was incorrect.

"I don't call them affairs because an affair, like, to me is someone that you've seen over a period of time.

"I've had a few one-night or two-night stands ... I've never fallen in love with anyone. I've never done any of that sort of stuff.

"I've slept with a couple of people and made some poor choices and put things in jeopardy with ... what I was happy with, and that's my own fault. I've got no-one else to blame about that stuff."

Warne said his three children, Brooke, Jackson and Summer, were the loves of his life.

"Unless you have children, you don't understand the bond.

"One of the hardest things I'm going to have to live with in my life is that I'm going to have to explain to them one day why mummy and daddy split up and they're going to see it as my fault, which is the case."

He said the other great love of his life was cricket.

"So I'm not going to lose both. I've got to make this a winner. I've got to focus all my energy. I've got to concentrate on this and this has to be successful ... there's no other way."

Warne said he knew that his recklessness had cost him his marriage, sponsorship deals, probably the Australian captaincy, but he did not dwell on it.

"It's done, and the more you harp on it, the more you whinge about it ... the more it stuffs with your head."

Wendt also found herself warming to him.

"I can tell you ... it is uncommonly easy to like him and a little harder to explain why," she wrote.

I like this bit
Warne said his high profile ("celebrity - I hate that word") presented him with sexual opportunities when he went out (there are other high profile celebs that dont stray) dont get married if u cant commit.

I reckon that could be a VERY useful feature down the track for Warney!
