Default House Burnt Down Behind My House

Today, wife and i were walking out the door about the fire up the XR, and saw a buttload of smoke belowing up, from a couldersac? behind our house.

So went and grabbed the camera, and drove around the corner as all the windows in this A frame house exploded. The heat pouring out of this blaze was quite surprising, ironically the guy who lived in the house had gone to town to pay his rent : .

The neighbor next to him was hosing his place down to stop the flames that were hitting it, till the fire brigade turned up, he went inside and his digital thermometer said 79 degrees peak temp !!!!

So luckily no one was hurt, but unfortunatly nothing was saved from the house, and it was the only house damaged.

Congrats to the local firey boys, they did a great job getting it under control before it spread. Very VERY sobering and has made me be more concious about turning stuff off and what not before i leave my house it:

Heres a few pics.

gee wiz.........feel sorry for the bloke losing all his belongings and the owner losing his house and income.

The firies did a good job containing the blaze from spreading as it looked pretty hectic.

might sound like a pyro for saying this, but nice pictures of the fire.

Wow, as nasty as it sounds, cool photos. However, the flames are not at the top of my "interests list".

In the first photo, does the back of the firefighters jacket look like it says "Feral Fire Service" to anyone else?

does indeed read rural, i am 15 kms north of Coffs Harbour NSW.

As far as i know, the owner of the home, was well insured, and the tenant had some form of contents insurance, just a major pain the a$$ for him

Hmmm... I still reckon it looks like "Feral". Could be my resolution or something... Possibly...

John's gonna think I've been on the turps again.

LOL @ Woz...

In some brigades that could be appropriate!

Yer good to see the Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire Brigades working alongside one another. Shame about all the union bullИИИИ between the two organisations at beaurocrat level.

I'm sure when Koperburg retires there will be a little bit of a power vaccum at homebush, might allow Mullins to strike and clean out all this two services, one aim beauracracy.
