Default SVT Finished?

Looks like SVT will be disbanded come April 1st. Was Ford Aus/FPV badly affected by the "Way Forward" business plan? The Ford GT will end production this year and the Ford SVT Adrenalin has been axed. SVT will still do development on cars, however they will not be branded SVT models, well thats my understanding anyway. Example is the Shelby GT500 with limited SVT badging. Anyway its a sad demise for the Ford Motor Company.

It's a shame but i guess it all part of the cost cutting Ford has to do.

Ford AU will claim that it has nothing to do with them. Ford HQ doesn't make moves like that lightly and Ford AU is not detached from the action. If anything, AU should be well concerned since the whole Asia/Pacific operation is continuing to operate at an overall loss which has worsened in recent times.
