Default Red stickers on your car

Apparently the Qld Gov is considering a compulsory red gas guzzler sticker on cars such as V8's and 4wd's which will stretch accross the rear windscreen. This system is already in place in the UK. They can go to buggery if they think I would deface my car with this crap. :the_finge

i'd heard of the ban on 4wd and high powered cars in the cities in england, and that nsw was thinking of having higher parking rates for 4wd and 8's in sydney.
hadnt heard of any similar plan in aus as yet...

LOL...little do they know that i have a 4 pot that is probably as thirsty as a lot of v8's and a v6 that guzzles fuel at a rate no v8 on this board can match.

hahahaha...just gotta love mindless generalisations by twats that know no better.

Damn scary but true, probably that d***head from the pedestrian council. What if I remove the XR8 badge and replace it with let’s say Suzuki Swift.
Those boneheads probably wouldn’t know the difference.

Cheers, Danny

bullshit isnt it. the wost thing is they take our money and spend it on things for themeselves :

the idea of govt was to run the "state" for the collective good.

but that went out the window when they realised how much money they could make when they could tell stupid people to goto work for them!!!

I get better fuel mileage from my V8 ED than i did from the CFI EA. 12 to 13 L per 100k.
They'll probably say the 2L "4wd's" need a sticker to...
stupid.

News to me, no such law in my neck of the woods used:

But if they did try bring this in I also would not comply!

I'm just going by what was written in the weekend paper. (shows how much they research their stories). Apparently low emission cars will also be given a green sticker if this passes (which I doubt because it would be too hard to enforce).

The rear windscreen of an XA is difficult to see out of at the best of times. This sounds pretty ridiculous, but considering some of the BS laws you guys have over there it doesn't surprise me.

Okay, what is the point of the sticker in the first place?
Is it to advertise the size of the motor?,
How much fuel the car uses?,
Power to weight ratio?,
RWKW's?,
If thats the case why not put you 1/4 mile time's down aswell !!!!!
This is what I would have plastered across the rear window,
And you dont think that this would be an invite to be hasseled for a few street races :

BOSS 290, 24.5L/100km, ????????, 246.7 RWKW's, 14.28sec 1/4 mile

Would upset a few ricers in their fully sik evo copies if they had to have 19.96sec 1/4 mile and a big green eco friendly sticker on the car now wouldnt it? _2:

i think its like on Halo 2 on XBOX live, u have a rating, so you know how good your oponent is so if you both pull up at the lights and you have a red sticker, and he does too, you are free to race :

Yeah right, I cant see Lord (insert name here) putting a red sticker across the back of his v12 Austin Martin, or his v12 merc. Sounds like a load of drivel.

They could print up a batch of "Self Serving A**hole" stickers which could be firmly stapled to Bob Brown and all the other hair brain politicians that come up with these loonie ideas!!!
