According to all reports, upstream of Katherine the river has stopped rising, and is levelling off at the bridge, so no more rises are expected. It peaked at 18.95mt last night.

Park rangers are patrolling the water tonight searching for Salt Water Crocs.... Scary stuff to have those swimming past!
