Is it a phase 3/ GT or just a trackcar/replica?
Looks repairable!

Ahh, i think that happened at Bathurst last year, its a Group Nc race car / GT replica.
I don't know anyone who'd race a genuine Phase 3 these days!

I know of a phase three in great condition that still goes down the quarter. Not track racing though.

The above car was a replica thank god!

Yep.. it is genuine and last I heard it was a genuine 500-550 hp. I don't know if the owner would appreciate being named so I won't ... but like all his cars it's weapon.

to set the record straight its not the car that you think it is this car is not a GTHO or the car that runs at Targa as i crew on the Targa one which is a genuine Phase 3 with a little horsepower as XA Coupe has said .This is a falcon done up by AAA Ford Wreakers in Thomastown and is Driven by Phil Kirkam.Another thing the targa car hasnt been to Bathurst this year .The car in the picture was smashed ai Bathurst over Easter .Big Gaz s XY Phase 3 has just returned from Q land with me and another gold Xr as we where at the Musclecar Shoot out in warwick and then went up to rthe sunshine coast to Bowdens car collection

Hope this sets it straight

XA coupe did you yhink it was Gary Q s car ?? luckily it wasnt or i wouldnt be going to targa next year

To me it looks like the car which I saw hit the wall at Bathurst last October. The driver exited the chase too fast and ran wide, got the right rear tyre onto the grass and around she went. CRUNCH!

I took that pic, and have others.

The teams intention was to repair it, the cage did an excellent job, and if you look closely you'll noice the roof was not at all buckled.

Last i talked to them, the cause was put down to a caliper failure. I will be checking in with them shortly to see how the rebuild went.
