Default the worst mods youve seen on a car

i know i know, this thread is useless without pics, but hopefully some people have them.

anyway, how bout a suzuki swift 4-door with EL XR vents

or even worse, there is this guy in my area that has an awful vn, with a HUGE wing and bonnet scoop. he has also put VT taillights and the boot garnish on the back, no, not a VT rear end, just the lights and garnish, they dont even fit properly. it looks like he has bashed it with a hammer to re-shape the metal :

Ok so some peoples taste is definately in their backside :
But what about dangerous and/or illegal mods?
Mate works for the RTA and last year they had a crackdown on street racers down at Brighton in Sydney.
Rounded up a whole bunch of them, took them down to to the RTA yard at Rockdale, inspected every car for defects....
You should have seen some of the stuff they found :
A Honda with an expensive harlequin paint job, 18" alloys and killer sound system. But the Momo steering wheel was fastened to its hub by only 3 "aluminium" pop rivets!
A Toyota with 20" wheels that looked awesome but each wheel nut only engaged the thread on the stud by about 4mm and some were already stripped!
A Torana V8 which had undergone a 9" conversion that looked like it had been welded up by the first form kids at the local tech (read bird poo)!
And this is just a couple that I can recall now....

I agree. Not a fan of putting rims on a car from other models. Like BA rims on an AU or AU rims on an ED

Come on, a set of ultra clean 17" Tickford AUII alloys looks a lot better on a ED Fairmont than a set of 15" Fairmont Turbo Blades and easier to clean me reckons.

I think its worse seeing a mouth watering GT-P that looks awesome only to realise someone has bolted on cheap-o after market chromies on it. Where's the justice, or all those nice brand new BA and BF XRs and GTs with crappy after market alloys, when the factory original looked better.

Yeah mate, it's the same for Commies aswell.

That's why I went with 18 inch VY SSs on my VL, rather then some dodgy aftermarket chromies.

Stickers with the car brand.. eg "MITSUBISHI" accross the front/back window of a lancer.. or even scarier.. HYUNDAI accross excels..

NO SHERLOCK!! please return your car to the dealer, you are too stupid to own this vehicle.

My plates kinda state the obvious.

GLD-086 :

Atleast I don't have to worry about people asking what year it's from. Oh and it happens to be my birth year.

So I happened to kill 2 birds with one stone, when I got my new plates.

i just cant see the value in spending $500.00 plus on something like the car name or model! a persons name or nickname i can justify as it is individual like my custom plates.

Actually I don't mind the name or model on a old classic or rare sports car. Ones like difter and crappy ones along those lines are just asking for it.
