i would rather spend 200k u.s on something that will take me for more that 10 minutes with a heater and i wont have to wear a helmet, also what would happen if you ran out of fuel at full altitude? stupid americans, the only thing they did right were the ford motors, they even ****ed those up nearly.

A guy in Europe actually made "jet boots". He jumps out of a hot air ballon wearing a birdman sort of suit and can achieve horizontal travel for around 10 mins. When he run's out of gas, he just pulls his chute. If he tries vertical climbing it just stalls under him but he followed a hwy for a while which was very cool.

It's a great clip (if you ever find it) and probably the closest to flying we'll get. That is a toy on my "must have list".

A guy in Perth can make the jets for around 9k I think. I have been looking for cheaper ones for my RC Helicopter. 8 engines, is 72k and a length of pipe, couple of electronics. You could save yourself a 100k
