Default 302w or 351 clevo

im planning on getting a xd ute for a project car and i cant decide whether to get a 302 windsor or a 351 cleveland, which engine would be easiest to get the most power out of it??? any suggestions

I had a 302 XD, factory ordered it, it didn't go that hard and from memory, think it redlined at 4750 rpm whereas, the 351 is over 5000 and revs harder.
Best place to start would be to make it breathe better ie exhaust & intake, all depends of course with how much you're gonna spend.

The Clevo will be much easier to get grunt from so why stray from what was intended to be their in the first place. They were in a pretty lazy state of tune standard but not too hard to get them really honking
Yes the 302 in the XDs were a Cleveland as well.

i was looking at spending about $2000 on the engine and sinking bout $10k into the car. any recomendations on the engine mods for a 351 clevo??
