I've missed a fair bit of documenting enough of the process to do a project car thread but have a fairly extensive thread specifically on the engine here http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=32600

Basically, in short this is what is done to the engine

AFR 185cc Alloy heads- 60cc chambers, modified pedestals for stud mount rocker gear
Comp Cams XFI 5.0 Stroker hydraulic roller camshaft- 236/248 @ .050", 286/300 total, .579"/.579" lift
Yella Terra 1.6 ratio adjustable Aluminium Roller Rockers
Full ARP Head, rocker and main studs
Full Felpro gasket set
Isky adjustable guideplates
Trend hardened chrom-moly pushrods
Crane double valve springs
Crane hydraulic lifters
ACL Race series rings and bearings
Rollmaster double row timing chain with nitrided gears
Stock T3 302W roller block- factory bored .020" oversize, torque plate honed
Stock T3 ACL Hypeurtectic pistons, dished and notched (9.7cc)
Stock T3 Argo shotpeened billet rods
Stock T3 Tickford nodular iron stroker crankshaft
Stock T3 Intake manifold
Stock T3 82mm throttle body and 80mm F150 Lightning MAF

Difilippo 4 into 1 ceramic coated s/steel extractors, twin hi-flow 3" s/s cats, twin 3" stainless steel all the way with X pipe, lukey Race mufflers and twin rear resonators
AU Edit- extensively tuned
345cu in (.020" over standard bore with stroker crank)
10.27:1 Compression Ratio

398.6whp (297.3rwkw) @ 6,000rpm and a ton of torque

Video of the Dyno Comp run on sunday here (3rd outright!)

Other mods are
  • Herrod SureShift short throw shifter
  • Lovells lowered progressive rate coil springs all round
  • Enkei RPO3 18x8.5" front wheels with 255/35R18 tyres and 18x9.5" rear with 275/35R18
  • Eclipse 8454 Head Unit, Alpine DDDrive front splits, Kicker Comp 5x7" rear splits, Kicker L7 Solo Baric sub in wheel well enclosure, Alpine V12 4 channel amp and Kicker DX350 monoblock amp

Outside car video here

And that's pretty much a summary of my entire contribution to the forum!

Phew, maybe there was enough for a project car thread after all LOL

awwww, shucks, really? thanks buddy!

The wife told me she's contemplating taking a restraining order out on me against my car- can't go within 50m of it she reckons :

I love that it's appreciated by other people and that's why (like others) I've tried to include as much as I can and not be secretive with anything- just want to share what I've found and have others enjoy my car as well- I love it and thanks for the thumbs up!

I'm loving the venom XR too BTW- wish I'd had the finances to keep my 220 XR8, I loved that car. The wheels look great, suit it down to the ground.

LOL...dont worry...I dont think they would suit my 4WD ride height.

And anyway, I'm too much of a tight-**** to spend money on bling. I still regret the $10 I wasted changing the orange indicator lenses for clear ones. They didn't make me go any faster at all :P

Alot better than the car I had when I was 18 that's for damn sure! LOL

Looks the business now Glenn, love seeing the transformation of some of these cars, it's a real credit to you fellas.

Looks great Glenn- the colored bezels will look trick, even the colour coded ones would look great on that colour. Was always a HUGE fan of the T1 with the sparkling burgundy with colored bezels- even thought of getting another set of headlights and going blueprint on mine for a while.......

Love the wheels- they were worth the wait hey?

I love glennauii's rims if they were a couple of inches bigger, wat inch size is your rims. Also i'm not a big fan on that custom grill, i've seen them a couple of times, i reckon jimt3te50's grill would suite glennauii's ride better

cheers.

Yeap, the AU C2R grill isn't that good compared to some of the factory ford grills
