I think from memeory without looking at my manual its;
43kw from the 1.6 Litres (Mk2) which is about 56.32 hp, although I doubt most would be pushing that much, unless they've have rebuilt since new. Hop0e it helps |

Yeah thanks
I am just wondering how much power i would be looking at from a rebuilt 1600, with twin 40mm dellortos, formula ford cam, worked head, 3 angle valve seats, extractors and straight through exaust, new valve springs as well. How much power do you think I will be producing at the wheels? Thanks |

to a 1600, ya maybe lucky to get 50-60 rwkw. It may feel quick and it would be good for hill climbs and motokarnas, but dont expect to go down the 1/4 mile too quickly.
Probably better off doing that to a 2litre if ya gonna put all that effort in, much better results and easier to source parts. just an opinion, nothing more.
