um, roll back your drivers maybe? You might have an auto update switched on for your soundcard? Or its just a nasty lil virus...

I checked the drivers and none have been updated so got me buggered.

Maybe try this........click on tools/internet options, click on the advanced tab, make sure the option "play sounds in web pages" is ticked in the multimedia section, or just click the "restore defaults" button..........hard to diagnose of course without seeing the PC.

right click my comp, manage
device manager if anything is standing out tell me first!!! sound, video, game controllers realtek ac'97 audio?? and right click uninstall. then click on the computer with the magnifying glass on it and it should re-install hopefully. otherwise pop motherboard cd in and reinstall audio driver
