Default nasty neighbour

Hey guys,
Got an issue with one of our neighbours who lives 2 houses down from us, and the issue is that recently there has been alot of 'littering' in our yard, thats what id call it, as now theres on average about 6 magpies in the front lawn. This is not only ****ing me off, but it gets a bit scary when leaving the house in the morning, and having things flying at your head. Especially with my sister leaving the house with a 6 month baby. What do watch out for, the baby or magpies flying at your head.

This morning once again i saw this guy throwing bread and all sorts of other **** in our lawn, so i went out and said "mate, can u stop littering in our yard", and he politely replied with the finger.

Besides me wanting to break hes legs with a baseball bat, how can we resolve this issue. As this isnt the first time weve asked him to stop. Thing is hes not even one of those typical young people who do it for fun, the guys like 47 years old.

Do we call the police or what.

Any help appreciated
Cheers

I'd put it in the garden beds right near the windows too, and pick up the bread he threw on your lawn and dump that onto his lawn as well. You asked nicely and he replied in a way that indicates he has no intention to stop. He needs some stronger "disincentives"

That the best advice bar the police if he is not a person you can reason with. Then all those lawn seed eating doves that poo all over your house roof & cars can give him a tast of birds pooing all over his place.

run out there with a bat and beat him to within an inch of his life, when the police ask what happened say you confronted him about it but he attacked you, remember - if they're on your property they're trespassing, and you have the right to defend yourself

sadley with our laws your better off killing him and burying him in the backyard...its a joke that if someone brakes into your house and they hurt them selves then you are held responsible....we have a bird on our deck and it used to whistle but it was blamed for all the wild birds noises too...anyway we had this neighbour and she told us about it so we covered him up and uncoverd him in the mornings..but that wasnt good enough so she complained to 3 different organization, she rang wires and the rspca saying we were treating it bad. they came around and on different occasions and said it was really looked after and we should not worry about her...then the third man was from the council and he said we have had numerous complaints and that we should move it if we didnt want conflict with the neighbour but they cant legally stop us from having the bird so my mother went off her head at the neighbours and they got so scared they didnt complain again....how can we get introuble for a bird when people have lard avaries in their yards...what a joke our society has become

Hah I had a problem similar to this with the young kids up the road doing burnouts out the front of my house and sometimes on my lawn (when they lost control), we've got tons of little kids in our street so one day I had enough and put my work uniform on (security) and took my baton out and extended and had a few choice words with them, havn't had any problems since.

Find a security guard and ask for 10 minutes of his time and pay him a nice little friendly visit

haha. I think i prefer the wild bird feed idea. However, gunna wait and if he continues to do it after today. If the cops dont do anything. it isnt just us who are sick of all the magpies, its pretty much the whole street.
My dad is a pretty religious sorta guy, and i think that this is the cause of it. so we'll see how it goes.
Cheers

Go the wild bird seed idea it doesn't hurt anyone and if he wishes to make further issue of it after that give the cops a call, good luck.

if he's doing it to be vexatious, then turn it into a positive. ensure that your neighbour sees you all out there talking about how much you enjoy the birds in your front yard. if he's doing it to give you the irrits, he'll soon stop if you appear to enjoy it.

by the way, if you show yourselves around the maggies while they are feeding and don't shoo them away, they will remember you and not attack you, as they consider you a harmless part of their territory. you could also try feeding them yourselves. they will also generally accept your visitors as part of you, and won't attack them either.

retaliation just doesn't work with tossers like this. i wonder if they have anything better to do with themselves than think of how to annoy their neighbours? get a life, i say.

Sorry guys, but maggies are not seed eaters. Their natuaral food is insects & grubs etc., But they will eat bread like this pesky neighbour is feeding them.

iCat has the right idea. If you feed them with a bit of chopped up meat (not mince) they will become your friend. Try not to feed them bread, but if you have to, soak it first as dry bread is bad for any birds.

call the RSPCA and claim that he is harming birds and ruining the natural wild life cycle by feeding wild birds and therefore they are loosing their ability to behave like wild birds and hunt for food on there own....

ummm pretend to be watering the garden/lawn and when he walks past and throws the bread hose the down....make sure you have a baseball bat handy just incase lol.....

or an automatic paintball gun is always good. mate they go off.....you should get 2 and go rambo style lol......

does the guy have a tin roof?
chuck a whole heap of meat up there if he does....the 'tap tap tap' should get pretty annoying after a while.
spread it around his yard too.

round up on the lawn is good too....a few choice words sprayed on the grass should give the neighbours something to talk about.

order like 2 cubic meteres of manuer or something and have it mysteriously appear on his front lawn and on his car, though it could possibly start a war..
