Default Best/Favourite Metallica CD

Ok, I don't think this has been done before. We do seem to have a lot of Metallica fans on here.
Just wondering what your favourite album is? I've misseda couple, ie, jump in the fire and creeping death & the 'basement' live recording ones... this is their main stuff tho.
I might throw a few here... I did enjoy a lot of songs from load and re-load and mastert of puppets is hailed as one of heavy metals best... but for me, S&M brings together a lot of my favourites, and it's live.. with a symphony behind it.. great music.
More recently, disk 1 of Garage days re-visited... Hetfields voice on these songs is simply amazing, the covers themselves are excellent.. few favs from the album are:
It's Electric
Sabbra Cadabra
Turn The Page
Die, Die My Darling
Loverman
Astronomy
Whiskey In The Jar
Tuesday's Gone
Am I Evil
Blitzkrieg
Simply amazing vocal and insturmental work.

^I'll agree with that... my mum had the black album and that got me into Metallica & heavy metal originally... there'll always be a special place in my heart for that album hahahaha.

Master of Puppets for me ... and followed by Justice for all ...

Everything after Justice they just went soft ...

Nothing better than Masters up loud and some twisty roads ahead ....

I voted the Black album but I would say puppets & justice would be a 3 way tie.

All of there albums have killer songs but black seems to have the best lineup on the one album... unless you include live ****.

I gather the majority of votes will depend on the age of the voter. I know guys older than me that only like Kill 'Em All, and thought Ride the Lightening was the start of the end! Master for me though.

I voted S&M but if I had to pick an actual album I'd go for the Black Album.

Being a guitarist i personally think that garage is the best. It shows that they arnt just scoopd tone metal heads (not bagging there old stuff....its fantastic) and that they can play a variety of rock music eg blues hard rock metal ect. Guitar wise, i think there older stuff is a bit of the same thing after a while. When it gets to load and reload theyv written some fantastic songs like the memory remains. just my opinion....

i voted ride the ligtning, i have all there albums and was a huge fan seen them twice when they were down in melbourne too, once for the re-load album and the other for the st.anger album.

I dont listen to them much these days as ive played their songs a billion times but i still go back to ride the lightning and ill listen to that from start to end without skipping tracks. (its a short album tho :P)

Master Of Puppets for sure! Followed very closely by Kill 'Em All. Cliff Burton was the master :sm_headba
Also love Garage Days Re-Revisited and Creeping Death/Jump in the Fire EP's.

After that, its all downhill i'm afraid.

I voted for "The Black Album". Never leaves the car. S&M is just awesome, but like someone said before, has best of all albums on it. "No Leaf Clover" gets cranked so hard when I play disk one of S&M. :sm_headba :sm_headba

I own every album... and master of puppets wins..

all the albums before cliff burton the bassis died on the bus crash are the best.. R.I.P Cliff.

black is good but they went too mainstream... gota love it though.
Most die hard fans despise load & reload and read some reviews for st anger.. nasty..

Ill go with Master followed by Justice then after that Ride.

Still cant knock any of their stuff even St.Anger which is getting close to the line of knockable.
