Default Christmas Lights Display - Any Griswold Styles Out There??

Hey Peeps,

Just curious as to if anyone is doing a Christmas lights display this year... Im not talking about the measly tinsel at the front yard, but the big colourful displays.

My brother and I have spent the last two saturdays prepping his house for a nice display this year that should topple over our last 7 year attempts. We got about 100 meters of rope light and 10 displays just to start.

This week we should be testing out everything. How exciting.

We've got about 10000 lights which are nearly all up. We were gonna go computerized this year, but we've run out of time so we'll have to leave that til next year.

Talking

I am gonna start ours this weekend..

Cracked it at the end of last year, threw them all tangled up and in a box.....

NOTE: don't take down on New Years day with a shocking hangover......

Last year we managed 11 x 4 outlet powerboards..... Was waiting to be woken in the night to the sounds of smoke alarms and sirens !!

11 x 4 outlet powerboards???? DAM that some serious stuff. At the moment were are no where near that kinda stuff but can see it being achievable. I know my bro has installed about 5 double power outlets around the front so far.

You just use a controller called light-o-rama. www.lightorama.com . From memory, he has 64 channels which costs around $600. Then, to program it all, it takes roughly 2-4 hours per minute of music
