With alot of people talking about the new Rocky movie coming out. It got me watching the dvd collection again. I love the rocky movies and i think they are some of the best movie series ever made. does anyone else like Rocky and what would you say is the best movie of the series. it was a tough choice between 3 and 4 but i went with four when he beats that big Russian. Ivan Drago. Also does anyone know if there is a rocky sound track. they always have the most inspiring songs.

My favourite would have to be the third. But I'm a huge Mr. T. fan, so that's about two-thirds of the reasoning for that. Actually watched the first movie last night, coincidently.

i like the whole series but the first movie is abit dated compared to the rest. it takes long to get into but when it does it is so inspiring. after watching any rocky movie it always makes me want to train lol. rocky 3 was good because apollo was still alive and the whole theme was eye of the tiger

Yea, 3 was the best IMO...I also love Mr.T!
I really hope the new one isn't a flop although I'm guessing it might be...

excellent thread. this is a tough one. I agree the first two are a bit dated and 5 sucked big time.
No.4 is awesome - the 'hearts on fire' song rocks and ivan is a machine - but it's No.3 for me by a nose. Too many good one liners from Clubber Lang and 'eye of the tiger' is the all time best psych up track ever made. :sm_headba

Go to www.rocky.com the preview looks hot imo, but I'm a huge rocky fan. Full of more great 1 liners from the man himself, and it looks like he has pulled himself back into great shape for an old bloke.

I got the latest Rocky on DVD and watched it a couple of weeks ago. The first hour is rubbish, then it build up and the fight at the end is what saves it from being the worst movie of all time. IMO, they shouldn't of bothered making Rocky VI (Officially called Rocky Balboa), but that's just me.
From the list, I voted Rocky IV as my Fave. |

It's hard cause i think 3-4 were the best.. Apollo helps him fight mr-t, then dies in 4 and rocky goes too fight drago..

the problem with rocky is that you need subtitles alot of the time, that god for dvd!
