Voted original series for me. Grew up watching those. Bit cheezy at times, but had plenty of 60's bling in it.

Next Gen was pretty good from third series on. Allways loved the Q character tho. Space battles are owned by later series of DS9, Dominion War. Voyager was allright, and Enterprise didn't grab me at all.

Loved the crossover DS9 Ep, Trials and Tribulations (i think it was called) where they re-mastered and played with the Original Series Ep Trouble With Tribbles...

DS9 for sure, the last three seasons with the war against the Dominion is some of the best television ever.

I used to be a big Star Trek fan, just bored with it now, there is just too much of it. Americans can't help milking a decent tv series for all it worth, eventually the ideas and stories that made it great run out and then they just repeat the same formula until they can't make any more money from it.

They did the same thing with the X-Files, an excellent show in the first 3 or 4 seasons but degraded quickly from there. They should have ended it when Mulder left.
:

Much prefer Firefly.

Next Gen here. I love Captain Picard. I also like Worf. And I loved the Borg episodes. My fav movie was First Contact.

I love all sci-fi stuff. I love Babylon 5 too, was a great series back when it began. Have the whole series on dvd. Am in the process of watching them all.

As far as reading sci-fi goes, you cant go past Dune.

Ng is best overall. DS9s war with the Dominion has good battle scenes.

I would love it, if in the new Star Trek: Enhanced, (A high def original series, with some special effect upgrades), they add Sisko and Dax to the Trouble with Tribbles episode. It would add continuity to the timeline.

As for Enterprise, some of the best episodes of the series were in the last season, when they got a new writer on board. If it lasted at least one more season, then I believe it's popularity would have picked up considerably. (especially if Brannon and Braga gave up writing and let others come up with the episodes).

The writers knew it was the last year,so they answered all the questions about various things at the end. Much of those story lines should have been explored earlier in the series, might have kept it going.

Next Gen fan here.

Q was by far the best semi-regular character, Data was the best regular character (so many funny Data moments), and the best race of aliens was the Ferengi.

I like all the series except for Enterprise, just couldnt get into it.

=1st - TNG - all of TNG rocked. Sooooooo many classic episodes.
=1st - DS9 - Dominion war was cool, Garak is a champion.
2nd - VOY - The Hirogen were great, especially that ep where they fight the Nazis e
3rd - TOS - Pretty good, some eps very corny now.
4th - ENT - Meh. Only a few good episodes there, like when the Enterprise-J appears

**EDIT**

Which episode was that in lol? I'm getting the collectors edition at the moment, up to TNG 45 or something.

TNG is good, you cant go past the Borg, Romulans, Klingons, Ferengi,

Best of Both Worlds is awesome. They near could have made it into a movie, and i think they nearly did????

I quite enjoyed Voyager, due to the situation they were in it allowed a little flexibility in the types of stories they had and actions the characters could take. I reckon I'd enjoy TNG the most if I ever sat down to watch it. DS9 was a very poor mans B5.

That all said, Babylon 5 is miles ahead. MILES. Occasionally ropey acting aside, probably the finest sci-fi ever made.

Mine would have to be Voyager.
My sign in name is as a direct result of voyager.

I used to play a MUD game where I made a character
Yawenaj Niatpac, I got known as "Yaw" for short.
If you spell Yawenaj Niatpac backwards you get
Captain Janeway

Captian Janeway was by far the best Captian, A modern day Kirk only female.
The big difference was Voyager had a much bigger budget, therefore a much better show.

When you consider the different Captians, and thier manerisims,

Kirk would go where angels fear to tread and would not send others to do his job. He was a real captain.

Piccard, What a wus he was.....he would stay behind on the ship and send Riker to do his dirty work because he was too scared to do it himself.

Sisco, he was Just plain boring.

Janeway, She would do the same as Kirk, only better, almost has a Margaret Thatcher persona about her.

I cannot offer opinion on the "enterprise" series as I have only ever seen one episode.
