Ok ppl. I finally got my XR back after my mrs backed into it.
Here are some before pics, with the dinted door before it was fixed. And here are some pics of the old silver sideskirting... which can hardly be seen hence why I changed it... And finally the pics after I got it back from the smash repairer with the door fixed and new BLUE sideskirting... So what does everyone think? P.S the car goes in to a vinyl shop in 1 hour to get the new stripes put on. I got the sideskirting colour matched to the vinyl stripes.

I reckon the smash repair people did a perfect job. You'd never know it was damaged.

James while you're at it, rip off your badges and start again. Whoever put them back on after all the cop labelling came off has done a shocker of a job.

yeah i'll do it when the car gets back. Should have it about 2pm. It look a million times better in the flesh. The photos made it look really dark, and it isnt, they don't do it justice at all

Just curious as to why you didn't get the towbar cut out on the rear bar filled as well whilst it was getting repaired? Or do you plan on putting the towbar back on at some stage?
Different, I'll give it that, as long as the blue highlights match the rub strips, I'd give it my thumbs up.

ok i just got the car back, sorry about the crappy pics, but the car is in the shed at work cause i'm drinking... end of year party. I'll take some good ones later.
The stripes are colour matched to the sideskirts so its all the same colour. The sideskirts just look darker cause of the light

Actually I was thinking of turning the car back into a HWY Patrol car again if anything for shows, seeming as it originally was one. Quote:

Looks ok from those pics. Take some more when it's outside on a nice and bright day.
I reckon I'd preffer black, but in the end she's your baby, and if you love it, then that's all that matters! Cheers, GK

I can go for stripes but I think they are too far apart on your car though.

Great car james. I love the stripes. Do a bit of performance mods to it and put a GT badge on it.

Yeh, the stripes do look good - a lot better than I thought they would, and the blue paint works in well too. All you need now is a BA bulge with blue stripes on it to complete the look, and a decent set of 18" or 19" rims.
