Default oil issues

hey people.
Its summer time again.
I am running 10w-30w oil in my vct 'lane and having issues with the oil pressure dropping low on a hot day idling in traffic .
When its cooler -no problem.
A new pressure switch was installed a year ago.
Is this common?
Should i use a different oil, install a oil cooler or change oils?
It does run on gas and was thinking to swapping over to penrite HPR30 gas oil.
I think it is a 15w-50w.
Any ideas?

I used that in the T3 but found it was way to thin.
The only reason they use it from new was to get fuel & emitions figures as low as possable, for EPA reasons.

I have tried it in a couple of race cars & will never use it again.

Both my T3s use Shell ultra+ 15w40..

so the viscosity of the oil has no effect on the operation of the vct?

VCT isn't really an issue in a T3
I doubt it would make a difference
