Exclamation Magic Powers Loss, Full power then GONE! then back again! MAGIC

Hey guys,

PROBLEM!! for a little bit now my baby gal has been acting pretty weird. when i take her around a corner with a fair bit of power or do a u turn with to much power causing loss of traction, she DIES. it almost feels like traction control, now its only a forte S3 so i guess its not that. Shes Auto with 80ks on the clock

i'll set the scene for yas, parked at front of the house, no cars coming, feel the urge for a rather fast u bolt, foot goes down, baby starts turning, wheels start to spin then about 3/4 way through she stops spinning the revs die but sort of build up again n off she goes down the road on her merry little way like nothing has happen.

it seems as though its getting worse but, nearly every time i take a corner now n carry a few revs she likes to have the power disappear n reappear to make me look a fool .....

What’s could be the problem guys? i'm guessing there could be a few things but where should i start?

i had the gear box looked at recently because when i was taking my foot off the accelerator she would drop back a gear, that stopped n they couldn’t find anything wrong with the gear box... so maybe fuel? leads? spark plugs? ecu? some sort or sensor? i'm at a lost guys any input would be great!

So far it only does it while cornering with power to, not in a straight line, over taking or even taking off with 2 grand of revs….

thanks for your time Bait fish....

Fill the tank and try it. If it doesn't happen with a full tank but happens with 1/2 to 1/4 tank it the fuel pump and was a common issue with some AU's. Ford are aware of it as they had a service sheet to solve it. Was pretty common with the AU3 V8's for some reason.

Then yours is not fixed then! I had the same problem but it only did it below 1/2 tank of fuel. I got a new fuel pump fitted under warranty and the problem has dissappeared!

Try not spinning the wheels when you do a u-turn - it is possible, you know.

lol this is true that is possible but that would just be masking the fact that there is a problem, rather see it fixed then swept under the rug...

Mine had the the same problem. It turn out to be the fuel sock that goes over the end of the fuel pick up line in the tank. It had became crushed some how & was partly blocking the fuel line, stopping the motor from get enough fuel at higher revs, so the motor would run out fuel few a few sceonds than pick up & go again. I would start with the fuel sock frist.
