Well, i pick up a new momo steering wheel and gear knob from FTG yesterday, and are now looking to fit them.
Problem is that to fit the wheel to my car and be fine with insurance (aami), the wheel has to be a option (knob is fine). Now i thought that the momo wheel was an option for the base model xl ute, (more dealer than factory), however we're finding it hard to prove this. Does anyone know what the deal was with these? I am yet to contact aami, because i want to have proof before i call them about it. Any opions or ideas. Cheers

They were an option on any Falcon - the proof is on the Tickford plate on any XR.

All that you will need to tell them is that you have put on a factory option s/wheel

Good advice! I would add factory "leather" option steering wheel. Don't mention XR! LOL! GK
