Default I ran a new P.B on the weekend too.

Hey all, there is some great stuff going on in here. I just ran a 13.21 at heathcote. I know it had a 13.1? or maybe even a 13.0? in it as my 60 foot was off the pace by nearly a tenth on this run compared to my preivous times. It was runing good 1.8 60 foot times during the day but the heat was killing it.
I was a little worried about my ute as it has lost a few kw on the dyno of late and seemed to be showing signs of age.
I just wish i could run these sort of times at calder. Heatcote is so far away.

I cant belive what has been done with the edit of late it is fantastic.
Congrats to you all. Knowing what is going on out there, it is so hard to sit back and watch and wonder about it.

Cheers.................Kev

hmmm. Fastest times, I think the fastest true LS1 did a 9.7.
Juzzy did a 11.97 with his un-opened on slicks. First unopened LS1 into the 11's.
Chris did a 12.01 with his un-opened on drag radials.
There was a sick FJ or something like that, that did 8.4.

I heard Juzzy gutted his car to get the 11 is that correct?
No tailgate, no passenger seat no fuel tank floor panel etc.

APS's unopened ute ran 12.1 in full street trim (except for slicks) on only it's 2nd trip to the strip, it's first time down the 1/4 was last weekend.

His car was'nt gutted this weekend, it had both seats, tailgate, fuel cover plate, etc. It did have a dropped exhaust and his bonnet with the holes cut out, and slicks+front runners, but still a marvellous achievement. You should know the facts before you start making statements like this on a public forum. out:

Pull your head in!!! it was a bloody question not a statement

I had heard he gutted it to run in the grudge racing at night because he had been knocked out of eliminations running low 12's.

I was trying to clear up the facts before nasty rumours got too far

Don't be too disappointed mate they are not easy cars to drive.

It was a great weekend all the G&D cars were running well, but Juzzys runs were the highlight and his car was just the way VX8255 stated.

Cheers Chris

It must have been too dark for you to see his tailgate, passenger seat & fuel tank panel out the front of his garage. He put it there to hide nothing. Well done anyway, Juzzy!!

Thanks all for your support and comments.

Phantom, I hope the day comes soon when I can edit my ute. There are other small factors now though. I have a little bundle of joy, no sleep and shitty nappies on the way.Not due till Dec so there is still a small glimmer of hope. _2:

Mark, at a guess I would say there where about 100 cars racing. It was a pretty big field with about 8 catagories.

Ratter, I honestly have no idea what was done to Juzzy's ute. I was to busy knocking all the holdens off in my calss till I broke out. I thought I was in the grand final. Missed it by .013.

Cheers again.......................Kev

Kev, you are the benchmark and the one to beat, if you are like the rest of us you have NOS as well lol

G and D are a great bunch of guys and have the results other people are jealous of.

Congrats on your PB, we are all playing catch up, hope to see you out at calder soon for some side by side action. Backing up with a 13.21 is impressive, especially in the heat.

More importantly good luck with your expanding family, they are the priority, us (your drag racing mates) will always be here to chat and race with.

Good work, see you at the track.

Chris
