hey all.......
my folks AU2 Fairmont, has a slight issue with the climate control. occasionally when you start the car, the display shows up everything, and you can hear the flaps and actuators working like its doing a self test...:S stays fully lit for about 2 minutes, then goes back to normal is this normal? |

My AUIII Fairmont climate control does the same thing occasionally. Randomly does a self test then goes back to normal, but in the default off position. This is annoying as I have to push the Auto button again, and reset the temp from 22C.
Seems to happen most often if I restart the car while it's still warm. For example, if I've just dropped into the shops quickly. Flagged this with Ford while under warranty, but of course as it's an intermittent problem, they couldn't replicate the fault. :( |

Mine has never done it. But as long as it keeps working properly otherwise don't worry about it.
