nice corty you`ve got there, we had one 1500cc 3 speed auto(track weapon : ), nice mods there i`ll bet its much nicer with the rack and pinion, how does it drive, the rubber bushes in the steering was pretty average in that model.

what makes you say its a 64 and not a 65? it will be completely road registerd once i can find a workshop to finish it off. the rack conversion has not yet been completed as with the rollcage and floor. any info on rack conversion would be greatly appriciated as it has escort lower control arms which has introduced bump steer hence why i need rack in it...

it may have been registered in 65 but the model was produced in 64
as the car is pre- airflow just like a 66 mk1 we have but its says on the rego papers its 67 only mk2s were in 67 i dont think you can modify the sump on an sr20 because its internel part of the crank cradle just remembered... how is the clearance going to be witrh the rack in the front of the crossmember?

arr yes, dont know how i never noticed that! no biggie.
as for the rack i wont be doing that right away anymore as i will add the rack when i get externally adjustable coilovers fitted in the front.. so for now i will just be fixing the bump steer and making it steer like a normal car the diff is 4.1 as for modifiying the sump, it can be done, i may have to do it as at the moment the idiot installed the draglink upside down (main cause of bumpsteer), im assuming that he did this as it would have hit the sump if installed correctly so i will probably have to machine it down. will have more updates after the 26th of feb when it goes back into the shops |
