hey guys,
Im getting some new rims in a couple of weeks. RJR Linear Hyper Blacks.. Still deciding if I want 19's or 20's... Has anyone got any pics of an AU on 20's WITHOUT a bodykit.. just curious to see the look. Car is lowered to, but this is to just give me an indication if they will look 'too big' or not. Ive thought about going 20's on the rear and 19's on the front for something different, but im unsure how that will look so im leaning away from that idea lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt |

Just get 19's they look heaps better, you get 245 wide tyres good width, compared to 20's and you 225wide which ride like a dog. 20's you dont need headaches worrying about which corner u can take hard if any, trouble with bumps, driveways watever.

Tyre replacement is much cheaper for 19s as well.

The linears are a nice looking rim, I test fitted a set in 18" onto my ute and was pretty happy with how they looked. Wasnt happy with the quote though!

Dude, you are going to need some more power to drag those heavy-ar## rims around. Let me help you fit some unnatural aspiration to your XR6 first (or a V8 :P) They would look nice in 20's though... Or these,

I have seen Stiddy drive ... and the words "Animal" and "Maniac" spring to mind ... and his car ... well ... "animal" and "freak" spring to mind as well.
Nice choice in wheels there xr8ute ... simple, yet bold ... and good looking. Also suits Matt's car definitely colour-wise ... also not over the top (also like Matt's car styling)

19's look good, you can have ultralows and then they look even bigger anyway. I get heaps of looks with 19's, i have recieved heaps of comments on how mad it looks etc.
20's do look good (on a show car) for the street ive realised its a bit much especially if u live in a rough area, i was thinking of trading my rims in the other day for 20's but i thought bugger it im just gonna lower it with newer shocks as well i think then it will look tough and ride better. The weight is another factor as well which will kill performance on many cars. |

This is my AU with 19's, Can't wait till when I have the spare cash for some 20's the bigger the better I say. If you are out for comfort, well dont start mods. cause there arn't to many performance mods that increse creature comfort, thats my thoughts neway

LOL thanks dave and mechan1k, im not a manic.. I just like to 'drive' my car. I love the look of 20's, but from what I read they dont sound overly practical. |

Stick with 19's. You'll get better performance all round. Don't for you live in Sydney, pot capital of Australia.

ask blackers about the ride he gets from his 20's in his fairlane. he reckons its smooth as...not sure how that works, maybe he has the right suspension combo, which is the trick to a smooth ride of course;)

Fairlane is a luxo barge... XR is a sporty taxi. Totally different ride/car.

20's look good, but so do 19's. The diff is 1 inch.... sweet **** all, not all that visably different. But tyres for the 19's are a lot cheaper and also fatter.
