Mine are on their first day of holidays today! SA. YAY! This is good. Means I dont have to get them ready before leaving for work. Gives me nearly an extra hour each morning!!!! No shirts to iron at night, no lunches to make, no shoes to clean - its two weeks off for me too!

I think you need to teach them to make there own lunches and clean their own shoes, that would make life easier. Gotta whip them into shape quickly before they get smart and talk back! :

School Holidays, I love them. It's the test of stamina for a night shift worker. Especially when you have dogs that cruise the fenceline and bark at softest footstep.... :yeees: Will be nice to see the school gates open again.... :evil_laug Sleep is my friend.... LOL

Hahaha yeah I tried that. They ended up with a whole lot of stuff in their lunchbox that I didnt think was appropriate and dirty shoes... LOL. Nah your right, I should do that, but I like to make sure they eat healthy at school and that requires some vigilance and time on my part, so I guess it is worth it.

But school holidays are easier for me, thats for sure. But for a nightshift worker, I can totally understand why you would prefer them at school - especially if they are as loud as mine! Haha.

Yeah ok making their own lunches was a long shot...I could imagine there would be alot of sweets in there, then your kids would be as high as a kite all day and then the PTA would be on your case...LOL

OT: Strange thread +1!

What's a holiday???? Haven't had one of those in ages.

Even with school holidays down here in NSW ... traffic is still a nightmare getting to and from work ... only good thing is not having to do the 40 in the school zones I guess during the holiday period.

mine were back at school today and my missus even got them ready a good hur before school so we could palm them off that little bit quicker.

i noticed the difference in her when they left
it went from school holiday time :(
to back to school

i think her blood pressure dropped a fair bit too : after they left.
