Quick question, after a quick answer. Will an EA diff fit up to an AU?. If not, what LSD's are available for the AU, and what other models diffs are compatilble.
Thanks guys. :sm_headba

only falcon diffs fit in falcons.. they are so different to other sort of cars. falcon diffs pull out from the rear end of the car, the back plate comes off and the center will pop out. commodor diffs and most others such as a 9" pop out from the tail shaft side.
lsd available for the au's are an au 3.45 LSD from an xr6 or 8. and i am 90% certain that the e series diffs fit into the au

EA diff centres do not fit AU's. The EA was 25 spline and the AU is 28 spline. Any diff centre from EB onwards will fit an AU along with a few other diff centres like the Nissan Pintara (4.11) and Skylines.
As for LSD, that can be fitted on any AU Diff of any ratio if you want. Ford only really fitted them to the 3.45 ratio (and possibly the 3.23 on the Fairmonts) however it can be fitted to any size diff centre.

A VL commodore diff centre 3.45 will drop straight in. You will need an LSD when the turbo is fitted though. I picked up a good AU LSD for $415. . The ratio is still not good enough though same as a Fairmont. Still better than a 3.08 though. Be patient and wait for an AU diff to come up.
