Default Your cars 15 seconds of fame....

I was stoked to see my old EB in the burnout finals on the 2006 Gazzanats DVD last night and was wondering if your car has had his/hers 15 seconds of fame..

Do tell....

Nice one!

I havent had a car on tv/video, but I used to own an ex-cop VT Commodore that the model makers Biante made a model out of. T155 was its divisional number. Had the same licence plates and everything!

Funny you should say that as our car club used to get calls from the makers of AMW wanting to use a particular models and colour in their crime re-inactments. Everytime that Moe child killer's XCs were shown I the news my dad would bag me out for owning a Moe car, LOL.

I was flicking through Street Fords Mag, at Race Brakes Sydney, I found a half page ad with my car in it, for AWC. I knew they had the photo but didn't know it was in the ad.

Also my car was on just about every TV news, nation wide, just over a year ago. Nothing to be happy about though. It was when I came across a fatality.

my car made the news for having all its tyres slashed (along with about 15 other cars tyres)
not happy, but the car got quite a showing!

XD:- Street Heat, Tuff Stuff, Performance Ford, Street Machine Fords, Sydney Morning Herald, Northern Districts time, ads for RRS (even tho I've never used any of there products) & for www.waxit.com.au (which I use all the time). I've seen people flogging posters of it which I'm told you can see one on one of the sets of Neighbours but I've never been able to bring myself to watch it & check. It's also been in some of those compilation of old article Ford magazines but I can't remember there names.

TE50 has been in Street Fords twice & a tiny bit in the 1st DVD & was mentioned briefly in Australian Muscle Car.

:( i miss it, when i was young all my posters were of xw and xy's the only 80's falcon up there was yours...i had no posters but i used tape to join two pages together.
your car together with greens tuff were the two models which made me recognise the great tuff shape of the 80's falcons, which inspired me to build mine!

Sorry the closest thing ive got is receiving a photo in the mail telling me about how fast i was going on this road or when i went through that intersection, though some had quite good angles and on one previous car you could clearly read my bumper sticker with only inch high writing!

I sure miss it too but it's nice to know the car had an impact & is remembered, there wasn't many tough Blackwood Falcons kicking around back then, now they're everywhere.

long time ago now but my XB has been in a few of the early "brute horsepower" summernats videos. 4 of them i think. also random photos in several magazines.

the XC that i had before also had a few photos in magazines. there is also a popular tee shirt transfer thats been around for years now that i wonder if it was inspired by my XC. electric blue xc rally pack with GT wing spoiler and 12 slotters. shirt came out shortly after i had my XC at the last street machine nationals held at camberra before chic started summernats.
