Hi All,
Just finished another "how to". It's on cleaning the electrical connectors on the AU auto box. It may save some bucks and smoothe out some gearchanges. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...0&postcount=86 Thanks to JC for the initial idea. Cheers, GK

Rather then WD40 or CRC etc there is actually a more suitable products available from Dick Smiths, Jaycar and Altronics for this purpose called contact cleaner/lubricant that you might want to try.

Also use Kopr-Shield http://www.romp1.com/automotive1/pro...ield-25002.htm to maintain good contacts and prevent water ingress. Yes this is expensive in OZ but a small bottle lasts seemingly forever. I use it a lot and am still on the original little bottle.

Another clear and precise how to George.
Well done. I thought that white switch was the inhibitor and reversing light connections. I think the big round plug with all the wires going into it controls the shifts etc. Can this one be unplugged and cleaned??? |
