If you want contact info on someone then easier and more polite to just PM them and ask for info Then it is upto individual whether contacts are given out |

I'm not quite sure what the original poster is trying to ask for... Skype is VOIP software...

I suspect it would not be popular with everyone. It is very difficult to pretend you are not a 13 year old school kid when your squeeky voice is a dead giveaway...

skype is a type of voice comunication between two people through the computer network and is cheaper than a telephone call i believe about 10 cents any where in the world but not a 100% on that just thought it might be of some use to forum members and i'm pretty sure there are a lot of other forums that use it

Something better than that is a program called teamspeak 2.
I got it and its pretty cool, and msn can do the same thing for nothing as well. |

Dunno bout skype bob but the msn is fairly straight forward and the teamspeak you use a mic and your pc speakers and all you do is login to an ISP and way you go.

Ok so you think we could use it in relation to the forum i just think it would be a usefull tool in relation to one on one discusion in stead of having to stuff around with the pm system now dont get me wrong the pm system is a good system but i have had one bloke ask me about 10 different questions in about 10 different pm's about an item i have for sale i think it is just a slow process of getting a straight answer.

Poor bloke......
Maybe after the 4th PM numbers could have been exchanged... Skype has never been raised with the admin team before.

There are a few members already using skype.
Skype , MSN, phone numbers, email addresses etc details can be given if someone asks or if a person offers so not really sure how that has anything to do with the administration team. I think maybe a chat room is used but don't know a lot about it. Just a note though, you being the seller have the choice to make if you give your details after the first few PMs but the buyer does not have to offer any contact details unless the deal is made I think.. I don't know, just my tired 2 seconds of input for today... hope it helps (probably not) :togo:

Personally, I cant see that skype has a place on a forum, or would solve this particular concern. With an item for sale I would always offer a phone number, if not used then the purchaser/seller cannot really be interested.
