NSW Gold Licence (5 year renewal) Last demerit accured 21st Jan 1985 , so pretty clean .
Don't know if you're counting these , "NSW Shooters licence" since mid 70's when all you had to do was produce your drivers licence as ID at the Police Station , pay $15 for 3 years and that covered ALL firearms from .22 to large calibre semi-auto centrefire and shotguns. (except handguns) . No inspection or listing of the firearms you had in your possession . They just filled in a book & gave you the original copy , bit different now !

Provisional licence 2. (Green P plates)
This is sort of off topic, but I maybe moving to QLD, and what I want to know is, would I have to stay on my NSW green P Plates for the remainder I have left on it (Which will be next February), or would I be able to go straight top the QLD open licence? |

I'm boring and only have drivers (Full SA) and boat licence. Am thinking about getting gun licence so I can inherit some firearms from my Uncle, in particular, my grandfathers 303 rifle.

I moved to QLD just over 2 weeks ago. Ive been on my p's for 6 months now. When I went in to swap my licence over the deal i got was: Qld licence free of charge to the same expiry date as was on my NSW licence. So in other words, yes you will have to stay on your p's until feb, but on a QLD licence, and the licences up here are heaps better, no car restrictions, no speed restrictions, dont have to display p plates. Up here you can just get a five year licence on your p's, and it just says how long it is a provisional, and how long it is a full licence. The only problem with that is that your NSW has to have an issue date, which it doesnt, so they wont do it. However i thought about it after i left and had my licence and tought maybe if you offered to hand in your licence for a day they could do the check and give you your full licence, its worth a try. Try and get your licence before july 1 though, as a whole heap of new laws are coming in then. Hope that all helps, Mk II |

So there's a few people who have lost their licence and on Probationary ... unless they meant they were on Provisional Licence.
I only have my NSW Gold Car Licence.
