sidge vid. the ending was the best though. i bet half the ppl in america dont even realize theyre drivn an australian bred car. the pontiac GT0 version looks better than the monaro though. sum dude said he saw one in australia. im like pffft i doubt it. coz those cars r made for american standards and i dunno if those would b compatible with australian standards. the ads on australian Tv r gettn more and more lame. there is a lot of stupid ads that just suck balls.

The GTO came down on its nose pretty heavy, say there was a little bit of panel work on that one to get it back to show room condition.

all i know is that they were pontiac GTOs...not monaros....

a few of them had the left hand drive stickers, but the others didnt, so they may have been right hand drive (Didnt get time to see) or they might have just lacked the stickers...

I've seen a few 04+ GTO's. It's not like its hard to do.. wow, bolt a Pontiac front end onto a Monaro (otherwise identical car). And I don't know why anyone with half a brain would do it, its the ugliest, UGLY UGLY UGLY UGLIEST thing I've ever seen. I wish I could personally punch the person who designed that front end in the face. It would make me a tiny bit happier knowing I've done that.

Oh, that vid kicks *** btw.

yeah but at least holden r exportn though and its picked up over there. i think america wants a piece of the utes as well. also a lot of visitors to the HSV site r from the US who are interested in importing HSVs. they exported the monaro to the UK and think its goin alright there, badged as a vauxhal monaro. dont think ford australia is exportn anythn. correct me if im wrong. why dont ford australia have a coupe match up to the monaro? if they did that means they could b raced.

wouldnt the fact that there is an american "ford" hurt Aus ford if they ever wanted to export....since there is already a ford motor company over there.....just a thought I had...

yeah spose it might b pointless. but a lot of american cars r ugly as. even i think a falcon might do well over there coz they r shit load nicer than the american fords in my opinion. i think america should take sum design tips from the aussies. holden has already ruled out exportn commodores i think.

I thought the camera moved around way too much- I never saw a full maneuver (aside from a powerslide). It looked like they took each shot seperately :/

Need some `happy cam' videos of enthusiastic driving from our members!

GMH had 3 GTO Pontiacs (Monaros) on display at the GM American day at Yarra Glen Racecourse (Vic) last November.

The Falcon would not sell well in the states as they love their SUV's & Americans don't look at 4 Door cars as performance type cars The Aussie ute is less optioned then their Pick ups.Plus RWD cars are not as good in snow condtions as AWD or FWD as most of the country has snow for 3-6 months of the year.

I been over 8 times latest being October last year for a month and most cars on the roads are SUV's being the most common then their Domestic and Jap cars.

plus they like everythn bigger over there. those F250s r almost trucks. SUV (sports utility vehicle). as if u could take half of them offroad. no place for a SUV or 4WD wateva u call it in the city. there was talks of exportn the holden SS ute as the new el camino a while back. dunno where thats goin. of course they change to suit their market a bit. but the prototype i saw still had the SS badges on it . but this was when the VX commys were unveiled.

as for havin sound for the vid (no speakers). well lets say i was very drunk and they blew up so i dunno wat it sounds like lol
