5th (?) highest goalkicker in AFL history does not constitute deadwood. I have been a lifelong Tigers supporter.......geez it has been hard. I'm actually glad Gasper's gone, his skills at this level today were below par IMHO, along with a few other senior players too. Matty

I went to the game where that maggot supporter spat on Danny Frawley. Although I go for Geelong, I go to almost any game if I want to...just love footy.
Richardson is not the 5th highest goalkicker. Lockett leads (1370 or thereabouts), then Coventry (1299), Dunstall (~1270), Wade (~1060), Ablett (1030), Jack Titus (970) and from then on, players like Kevin Bartlett, Leigh Matthews, Matthew Lloyd I think are all still ahead. Kernahan too...Carey, Lloyd. BUT regardless, to kick 700 career goals (has probably missed 3 years through injury). So given that he has played ~12 years, he has averaged 58 goals per year. That is a bloody good average. That equals about 2.65 goals per game. That's a good contribution. As I said, Richmond supporters should stop whining about Richardson and appreciate all he has done for the club as unlike Nathan Brown, Richardson plays football for the team. |

Was a shocking game and if it wasn't for Richo it would have been far far worse. I think the brains trust at Richmond really need to have a look at what direction they are taking.

A bloody good example is Tony Locket - highest alltime goal kicker, quit on top and then decided to make a comeback, how did that go? |

As a Richmond supporter and member being at the game it was shocking right up to the final siren. Yes I stayed there.
I definitely wont be going next week or the week after........games both in Adelaide. While a handful of Richmond supporters may have a go at Richo, you will get that at every game for varies players. Most Richmond supporters think he is great and one of the few who keep on trying. Also its funny they way one guy spits at a coach and now 'all' Richmond supports are spitters. It gets a bit of coverage in the media and people actually think its done by all. |

Im a really, really passionate Richmond supporter. Been a member for 9 of my 18 years. I love the club more than anything else. Went last night and the Tigers were hopeless. They didnt get the ball, were sloppy and lacked midfielders.
What can you do though? What hasnt been tried? We've been through coach after coach etc etc. Just going to have to let the kids grow. Only had 4 players, I think, with 100+ games: Simmonds (off for a lot of the match), Richo, Joel Bowden and Kane Johnson. Thats a very, very young and inexperienced team. No excuses though. Geelong killed us. A night to forget, thats for sure.
