that's a pretty good trade in price I'd take it and if you feel nostalgic sometime down the track i'm certain you'll be able to buy back an AU XR for less. |

The question is Autocade, what are you considering trading up to?

I drove around in a Territory for a few days and nobody took any notice Even in a TTG hardly a second glance The issue is that i must drive the new car as much as possible to justify the change over This makes the AU redundant as it will hardly ever be driven I am the only one that would drive it so unless i think it might be collectable I may have to take the money & run. Thanks for all comments Cheers Autocade |

If the sole reason you're thinking of keeping it is for investment purposes, then I'd sell now! I can't see it becoming collectible anytime soon.
The trade in price is great, but many dealers give you a great trade in, only to screw you on the price of the car you're getting. Best way to know if you're getting a good deal or not, is to compare the changeover price of a few different dealerships.

Hey any AU XR or T series is worth heaps to me
That's why I'm never selling mine. 83000 on the clock and safely sitting in my 1000 square metre workshop under cover. it comes out now and then. I don't see cars of the next ten years being as well built or lasting as long as an AU or BA-BF

I think it's desirable because of what it is and what options it has with it. Not a common car on the road, but not quite rare enough to be a collectable. You have some very reasonable offers there.
I'd go with the head decision unfortunately here. It's better off going to someone who will drive it and also take good care of it rather than taking up space and costing you more than you otherwise would save by moving it on.
