Work every p/h except xmas day (even though I have to work till 6:30am on xmas day as I do nightshift)
While you're all out getting drunk for your holidays, spare a moment for all us security blokes who have to keep you all behaved.

Supermarket Management here... while I've got 25th/26th off I'm on call and It will definently not be enough to get over the insane10 days leading up to... WTF why do people go mad and act like the shops will be closed for a month? not that long ago they were closed on weekends and people still managed...

This year I actually get Christmas Eve and Day off for a change.
I have worked them the previous 6 years straight. I am working Boxing Day and all of New Years though (nights across new years too)

I'll be the only person working over christmas, I'm ment to have christmas/boxing day off but my guess is they will be good days for me to catch up. On the plus side I'm taking a few weeks off starting the 31st.

Well I work 2 jobs, My day job is EEN/Diversional Therapist/Personal Care Worker at an aged care facility, and my night job is a cleaner at a shopping centre.
While luckily the centre is closed on Christmas day so I dont need to clean that night, I will be cleaning Christmas Eve and Boxing day (and the next 2 nights also). In addition, I will be working every week day, except for thursday in the Special Care Unit, all of which will be EEN (Endorsed Enrolled Nurse) shifts, cause none of the other SCU nurses will come in that week. So to reiterate what a few others have said: While you're all boozing it up and partying etc, spare a thought for some of us who will be looking after sick dementia patients and scrubbing shopping centre floors :P *thinks* "Just think of the money, Lyndsay, just think of the money.."

I got 2 weeks off from next Friday.
But next week is gonna be hectic for us cause everyone wants their shed/carport up before Christmas, we're already scheduling stuff for February next year, with build dates until March/April.

I have worked every Christmas and New Years for the last 5 years. Because I worked for Woolworths I couldn't have time off at that time fo year.
But at my new job we close for 2 week over Christmas and New Years so for the first time in 5years I don't have to work. WOOHOO!!
