Default Is Fairlane interior carpet the same shape/fit as Fairlane carpet?

Hi Guys,

Fairlanes and wagons, are both built on the same long wheelbase from what I understand. Going by that I'm hoping that the carpets are interchangeable, but was wondering if anyone knew for sure?

I'd really like to use a Fairlane carpet set in my wagon since it's much nicer to begin with!

Thanks,

Justin.

I bought an after market carpet from Knox carpets in Melbourne. Here is there website: http://www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/ A word of advice, the factory carpet has the sound deadener glued to it. So if you pull your carpet out you will need dynamat or similar, or alternatively just lay the new carpet over the old. With after market carpets you will need to cut the holes for the seats, centre console ect.

Thanks for that mate. Didn't realise about the sound deadener, but I could always install it over the old carpet for a touch more noise supression - being a wagon that never hurts!

I'll have a look at aftermarket offerings when the time comes, but from my experience, they don't always fit the best.

I had heard that about after market not fitting the best, but the Knox carpet fitted right in with no major hassles. Just got to take your time and a heat gun to help flex the carpet to the contours of the floor. I installed the new carpet over the top of the existing grey carpet.

it all depends on the moulds they took of the various models, some of their carpets are really good, and others simply do not fit without major work....i know their EF/EL carpets are of REALLY poor fit around the trans tunnel.
i have heard good things of their AU carpets and EA-ED carpets though for fit
