Default E-series front springs into AU?

Hi All,

I read something in another forum the other day about E-series springs being able to go in the front of an AU.

I've looked everywhere for the thread, but now I can't find it! Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks,

Justin.

I'd imagine if it was possible it'd be the AU series 1 only, but I may be wrong.

in king springs
the e series is KFFS-26
the AU is KFFS-57
so based on this the springs are different . even if they are the same physical size the may have different spring rates so i would say no
why is it so many people want to downgrade their AU with E series crap

If it was a dirrect replacement then it wouldn't be downgrading which is probably why he asked. If you can get a part that is in better nick then what you are replacing, regardless of where it comes from it isn't downgrading.

The rear springs are interchangable between E series and AU live axle.
The front springs are not interchangable.

My stock front AUII springs went into an E-series so maybe that means it can work both ways?

if the part number is the same they are the same
as you dont specify WHAT car you have.. just the part number for the part

id say the front of an ED is LIGHTER than an AU ..
