Default saab rims

I've heard that 15 inch Saab chaser style rims fit on escorts. Does anyone know if this is true. My stud pattern is 4 x 108. Is this the same for the saab rims too?

They are similar to falcon pursuit steel rims. The early saab rims are 15 inch but they are a 4 stud pattern. I don't want to go to the hassle of changing to a 5 stud pattern. I don't have the knowhow to do it. I've heard they fit. There's an escort van on ebay at the moment with them.

what about the offsets? Are they similar or the same as the wheels on my van. They are only stock rims, so i'd say mine would be 5 0r 5 and a half inches wide

When I had my Cortina, i was quoted $100 EACH rim for SAAB rims.

I took a trip down to my local Ford Dealer and got a set of 4 Focus delivery wheels (rims and brand new tyres) for $60 each. Bolted right up, correct PCD, and offset.

No need to change to 5 Stud. Its worth the trip to your local dealer and see what they have available.

A pic of my old RS with SAAB rims.

These are 15x6" you can get 15x5.5" but do not look as good and offset is a bit worse.

Like I said, it was on a Cortina, but I didn't have any issues at all from memory.

I *think* they were 14's....

[edit] they must have been 14's because the EL hubcaps didn't quite fit on them...

Thanks everyone for your help. Think i;ll try and find some saab rims. Spoke to various ford dealers and they want anything from 120 to 197 for the focus delivery rims, and thats each. Almost get a set of minilites for the cost of steel wheels.

Whats the kick with Saab rims? In the 15 years I've owned small Fords, I'm still trying to figure out what the fascination is? They look like something off a Falcon Ute. If you want 15" rims, stump up the cash for some decent period rims like superlites.
