does anyone konow if a BA auto trans will go into an AU with out any dramas a mate of mines auto is stuffed and he can get a BA box cheap cheers...

There will be dramas
The selector for the gearstick is on the opposite side for a start Not sure on the electronics side, plugs seem the same but i remember hearing they dont work the same I wouldn't recommend it |

im not worrried about the gear selector thats easy enough to swap over....its the electronics really that im not sure about....

i wanted to put a BF engine/trans setup into my AU SII Fairlane.
I've been told it cant be done due to computer issues. Not too sure if this info is correct however if it is then i doubt you could do it. BA/BF's have their auto's running via the ECU or something simular. So you would probably need to rig up the Auto with your current AU ECU |
